I, Steve Wallis, have got a banner produced which will be useful for future activities. It contains the name of the campaign (Campaign for Democracy in the UK) plus this website’s address (www.democracycampaign.org.uk) and the internet discussion forum’s address (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/campaign-for-democracy-in-the-uk) in a box.
I have made some plans to help organise a demonstration outside the Welsh Assembly. For more information, visit the Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland page. I am then proposing that we have a UK-wide conference and demonstration. I am planning to divide most of my time between Manchester, Glasgow and the Cardiff area. If I am able to get some sort of groups going in Manchester and Glasgow, then it may be best to hold the conference and demonstration in Manchester as an easy place for everyone to get to. However, if there is much more interest in Wales than elsewhere then Cardiff may be a better venue.
Although this campaign does not yet have any members (apart from myself), anyone can contribute to discussions about what we should do. Go to the ‘campaign-for-democracy-in-the-uk’ discussion forum. You can opt to receive messages by email, or simply browse and search the archive of previous messages on the web.
